Many providers INTERPRET it at purely face value, that GFE means SIMPLY "girlfriend like" (in turn, whatever that term is supposed to mean). The problem with that is that the interpretation of that term is still so vague and could mean just about anything to anybody that it barely has any useful value. As I've sometimes joked, my last girlfriend treated me like shit, so does that mean a GFE provider should treat me like shit too? Unfortunately, although most providers don't come out quite THAT short in their interpretation of what constitutes treating you "like a girlfriend", many of them take advantage of what they think is the vagueness of that term or what they think is a lack of common definition and so interpret it to mean the barest minimum of what they think they can get away with and still claim being "girlfriend-like" (e.g. maybe they've always treated all their boyfriends like shit too). Clearly it MUST have some MUCH more objective criteria than simply "she treats me nice" or even the simulated affection. OTOH, even the interpretations that Ontheloose or Goofygoon uses are not one so easily measurable (e.g. at what point is she acting like a nympho).

This conversation on GFE is interesting. Everyone has a little different idea of what GFE is, while everyone is pretty much on the same train of thought.
