Google searched two numbers. One seams to be legit and belong to the person they listed. The second shows as a fraudulent identity. I also looked up some of the names on facebook, and that's where they're getting the pictures of these people.

What I find particularly fucked up is that they'll post screen grabs of the texts used to contact the number on the bait ad, and some of them are as simple as a single text that says "hey" and they end up on the site. Definite extortion attempt, and yet another reason to use a burner phone.

Probably the pics and info comes onto that site by the stings and prosecution listed in the papers in various states.

But as far as LE finding you they will never know who you are. The best they can do is find the area you are in from the nearest cell tower you pinged off of. If you used the phone then left the vicinity you were at ditched the phone and bought another 12 dollar phone they would never be able to catch up to you. But regardless of all that as you said they aren't going to waste time tracking cousin John unless of course he was like the Craig's list killer!
