I was driving by TDW last week and saw the sign out front advertising a burlesque show. I was intrigued so I thought I would check it out last Wednesday night. I got there around 9pm and was told the show was about to start. It was about 10:20pm before it actually started. Be advised their website is promoting 4 'shows' each Wednesday night. In reality, they are counting separate dancers as 'shows, ' and there were only 3 this night.
So the first burlesque dancer was one of the regular waitresses (curly blond hair) dressed in lingerie dancing to a Madonna song like she was in a Madonna video. She removed zero clothing. WTF? The DJ announced that the next 'show' would be in 20 minutes. The next burlesque dancer started about 30 minutes later. This gal was one of the regular dancers, whose name escapes me now (white, long brown hair). She put a chair on stage and did a routine based around the chair. She was wearing a fedora style hat. She did at least remove her top, but the dance was not that different from what one would normally see onstage. By the way, this dance took place on what is considered the '2nd' stage, which is the first stage you see when you come in. This stage is now missing the pole that it used to have. One of the ladies said someone broke it while dancing. I guess management decided to remove it altogether rather than replace it, LOL.
So the third dancer / show started another 30 minutes later, it was close to 11:30 by this time. This act was another white gal, looked to be in her thirties. This act consisted mainly of her letting people spray whipped cream from a can on her, then she would scoop it up with her hand and lick it up. Yep, people were allowed to spray whipped cream on her bare breasts and bikini covered area and she would use her hand to scoop it up and then eat it. I would say this qualifies as a novelty act, but not really burlesque. To me burlesque is a more carefully designed striptease with nicer costumes and a more elaborate stage show. What do I know though? Anyway, they allowed 3 patrons to judge the 'shows'. Whipped cream gal won 1st, hat / chair gal came in 2nd and lingerie gal came in 3rd. They each one a variety of gift cards. As far as I could tell, the judges did not get anything for participating, LOL.
As reported previously, there was a bevy of beautiful black babes and a very curvy latina. I had not been here in a while and did not recognize many of these gals from before. Some of the ladies were very friendly. One even offered take out, but is was at the usual inflated strip club rates, so I decided not to partake. The burlesque shows are supposed to be ongoing every Wednesday night.
