Falling demographics in the rust belt and our lack of warm weather
For a city the size of Chicago, I have been unimpressed with the AMPs. Compared to what I just sampled in LA last week, I just could not go through with it at Hong Kong. I asked who else was available and ended up telling them I forgot my wallet in car and never went back.
Means Chicago is on a downward slope to attract talent, whether it be in finance, tech or the massage industry. Hell, even California is a net exporter of population to the more affordable Southern United States. You can also add in we don't have the latina massage parlors based on our Latin and Mexican population either.
Unfortunately, Asian residents are under attack in urban cities as they are known to carry large sums of cash and have gold jewelry in both their businesses and homes and to be generally unarmed as well.
San Francisco has gone so far as to tell Asian home owners to make their homes less Asian in appearance, no Red front doors, no Buddha's or the cat thing with the swinging arm out front. When your government is telling you that they won't,not can't but won't protect you, all you can do is leave or don't come here in the first place
That is interesting as I always thought of Chicago as a nice city. I walked around China twon area for a while and had lunch down there and never felt threatened at all. But I get what you are saying but in my experience, they never have this type of businesses in the nicer areas of the city. Could you imagine walking down Michigan near WaterTower and being able to get a nice massage while your SO is shopping at WaterTower.
Is a nice city thing.
