Scheduling- one (slightly po'd) man's opinion.
Full disclosure- I am in a bad mood as I type this. Set up a first meeting late last week for this AM with a well-reviewed practitioner on this board. Good communication up to last night, agreed we'd confirm this AM about an hour before to get address (I'm about 40 min from her depending on traffic). So I text at the appointed time (9 AM for a 10 AM appointment) and of course crickets. Finally about 30 min later she texts back. Says she had an appointment and should be done shortly. So I wait, my time window shrinking, and finally after another 20 minutes she asks me if we can reschedule for noon? Turns out it was an eye appointment and she's can't drive, and is waiting on a ride. After going back and forth its clear it won't work. Try for another provider but no one is available or answers. This provider has a good reputation but this was boneheaded.
My general rant has to do with this kind of sloppy and unprofessional scheduling. I am very busy and much prefer to set a time at least a day or two in advance, but I keep having providers bail at the last minute for reasons ranging from understandable but annoying (like today) to complete bullshit (Sassy last week). I'm beginning to get that there really is a difference between the 20 somethings who just don't understand that this is a business and the solid pros (Tonguetwister, Molly, Alexandria, etc.) who don't double book or cancel for bullshit reasons. I like variety but the aggravation is really getting to be too much.
Rant Off.
The good dr.
I'm married with two kids.
And I think of myself, generally, as a good person. But, of course, I'm taking my hard earned money, and giving it to girls from BP, and not my family. Anyone else get hung up thinking about this kind of crap?
I used to -- when I was married!
I think most married guys have those thoughts, some more than others. When I was married I think I justified it in my own mind by thinking 'at least I'm not having an affair!' An affair takes some level of commitment and more time away from the family, mentally and physically. Eventually in part, the hobby spelled the end to the marriage, I liked the variety and excitement more than the wife. Don't really miss the wife, but the family life with the kids is a different story.

I've tried giving it up but I can't. At least for now, it's cheaper than getting divorced.
Hung up on crap - A great ponder

Here is my attempt to distill it down: There are a myriad reasons why you spend money on yourself; this is one of them.
Stay safe.

This is in regards to scheduling
If I leave a bad review, I don't want to see the girl. Why would I care if she sees my review and doesn't want to see me?
You illustrate my point. If you leave a bad review, you don't want to see the girl.
But assuming you DID want to see her in spite of her bad customer service, you'd know that a bad review could make that unlikely.
Let's not forget to give credit where credit is due?
Silk is a class act for outing herself. Thought it's worth mentioning here. This woman gets it.
Since it's out there yes it was me it was a situation that couldn't be helped it was offered that he come pick me up from my eye appt but already had a ride literally minutes away I totally get your frustrationand I assure to make it up everyone is right you should name those who don't give you what you want that way they can fix it I have no shame in admitting my mishaps but the appt ran longer than I anticipated and I'm sorry that your time was wasted but between school life and a job on top of everything else my schedule sometimes gets fumbled please accept my apology drdave.
Agree with the nut as well.
I've had nothing but great experiences when dealing with EE. Period.

I have to agree with the Nut. You have 13 posts. In your 4th post, you endorsed Cincinnati Desires. And raised your concerns about EE. No one else has confirmed or expressed concerns regarding EE. So, provide details. Otherwise, I have to assume you are associated with a competing agency.
Agree with Sinful a thousand percent
Will I had high end providers stand me up 20 minutes before the session. Then when they offered to make it up with a free session down the road. I get accused of lying that they never texted that. Did I leave a bad review? No. I just chalked it up to a provider loosing a customer.
WOmen do have what we want but we have what most of them need $$s Psy is a dime a dozen but good psy with all the good menus is the goal not quantity quality.
