Craigslist Advertiser Reviews

I guess Marlowe and Socalasian think the world is perfect. Every aspect of life has it's good sides and bad sides. TER is no different. I know most of the gents on this board are intelligent, savvy hobbyist that use TER as a reference and can be a great tool. I keep trying to bang the point home that one needs to do research before seeing a provider and TER is a big part of that. It's pretty simply.....if I look at a provider that has been reviewed on TER then I check out how many reviews she has, if there is only one, I probably won't see her and are her reviews mixed and objective? One man's trash is another's treasure. More importantly I also look at each member that posted a review.....how many reviews has he posted, has he posted a review on a provider that I have seen or someone I know has seen, has he posted reviews in different areas and on different kind of providers?? If you network with guys you can trust that have the same taste as you, chances are they may have posted a review or have some intel on a provider you want to see. We all seem very quick to complain about TER and CL but what the fuck would we do if they did not exist??? And why do people on this board have the "that's what you get" attitude when someone brings up some information on a bad provider. I looked at that girl and might have called her but now I know, and knowing is have the battle. Somebody should have simply said thank you to CautiousOne!!

For the benefit of those that hold you in high regard I will add.

My little quick bit of information was intended to save others who may have been intersted in her from suffering the same lousy service that I suffered through. I advised the board of a TER review in the event that any of them cared to check.

Though I am not as senior as you Marlowe, I am a senior member none the less and with that comes some credability. I am not a pimp or any of the other things that SO CAL ASIAN mentioned. My handle is known and my reviews on TER and elsewhere are usually held in pretty decent regard for being true to both the letter and spirit of the the rating system guidelines.

I have about 40 reviews posted on TER. TER has its problems and I have heard the stories about some nasty stuff there. I am always bringing BS reviews to the administrators attention and calling their attention to reviews that look self writtten. However, with all its issues I still find it a good resource. I am not the only one here that does. Some highly regarded guys from here post reviews on TER as well. I can also say that some reviews posted her have made me question the standards of the reviewers. IE the reviewers are TOO EASY.

As far as a TER VIP memebership goes, post legit reviews on the site and get credit toward VIP status. Funny, but I paid for VIP status for the longest time before I ever wrote a review.

Have you guys all read abouet the series of busts in SGV at some of the AAMP's? They even got some of the CL girls who were working out of motels. The story said that two of the girls even jumped out a second story window and got away. Here's the story...

I got a call last Sat or Sun from a girl who said she wanted to see me again, at a special rate no less (I had never seen this person so I knew it was a setup). I think whoever it was calling had my number from when i called a provider and tried to set something up. I had never seen this girl and didn't recgonize the name so I wouldn't be surprised if this was a part of a sting-setup. When we call, the girls keep our numbers, if and when they get busted the LE's start fishing. Be careful

Absolutely no flame intended (nor in the other post for that matter) but dude your spelling is atrocious! All I suggested is that you tell us in this forum, the one we frequent for general info what was wrong with this provider.

Instead you DECIDED (no s in this word) to take offense. Your bad, not mine.

Oh, BTW, thank you for sparing all of us the wasted time and money on her. A bad provider as such deserves to be outed at all times. I just wanted more info, since I'm not a VIP TER member, the parts of your review that were accessible to me, didn't tell me much.

As I said before, some people are not getting the purpose of TER. It is free if you post a couple of reviews from time to time, which should be an incentive for people to post. It's much easier than coming here or some other site asking for info about a certain provider I may want to see. If I go there and see a review on a provider from someone like Marlowe, CautiousOne or other hobbyists here, I will use that as part of my determination regarding whether or not I see that provider. On the other hand, Marlowe or CautiousOne may not be online here when I'm seeking info about that provider. TER like any other site is going to have some folks that fake, full of BS etc. but I can't count how many times a couple of bad reviews from hobbyists with credibility prevented me from seeing a provider. At the very least it is a good resource to find a known bad provider and I always feel comfortable with a provider that has 10 or more positive reviews. Just like that chainsaw in your garage, if you use it correctly it will probably be safe but if you are careless you might have a bad experience.

You never know, but I wouldn't say that I am tight with anyone on this site, I respect DL and the other vets, but, really have never hung out with any of them. I have never been to KH8 either. Some of us have built in spell check, it looks wrong, so we change it. If some hard-ass EM with nothing better to do wants to review my posts for errors, have at it!

You need to learn the difference between drama and people expressing their views on a topic that pertains to what this site is all about........hobbyists sharing information.

Slam who you will. Marlow is a well-respected well-posted member here. I've slowed down a lot but still am creeping up on 500....

I was once a paying member of TER and posted numerous- maybe 50-60+ reviews on TER giving honest opinions of what my experiences were...

Then, about two of every three "honest" reviews that I put up suddenly disappeared. I was given credit for them, they were up and there to see, then "poof" gone.

So I investigated this.. asked some of my regulars what happened to the reviews I put up for them. They told me they had been contacted VIA THE INFO ON THE BOARD and told basically to "put out or lose their reviews". Considering a few years ago TER was the mongerer's Zagot, losing all their reviews meant losing their business. Plus, other "ROB" providers suddenly got rave reviews and 9's and 10's for service- with reviews stating $120 rates that somehow ended up to be $120 for showing up and $400 more for any action.

Somewhere along the line TER became totally corrupted. So take from TER what you will- but it's just about as big a flip of the coin as just calling someone off CL.
