No phone calls or verifications. What sucks is many of the better services require it, which I understand. Just asking if its possible to book with one of the nicer services with say a payphone or lobby phone call.

1. Nothing is effective this or that but for a specific purpose. GV is not effective against: CIA, KGB, and Medellin cartel, yes. But in terms of your phone calls not showing on your regular phone bill, hell, yeah, GV is an effective anonymiser. And there's no easy way for regular folks to link you GV account to your specific personal data.
2. Google indeed knows who you are but not as Jim Bland, 13565 Main street, Connecticut, 123455. They know you as "this user, whom we gave an I'd of 9288681 AXCCVF33, who's used our services since 1999 and did a, b, c, d. They only know what you've ever given them, and if you never gave them your address, they don't know it. Name, car, etc. Same.
3. What google knows only google knows. Google could care less about your AMP activities, whereas those parties that might care are not part of Google and don't know what google knows. Same about burners. Sure, the phone company can see what a BS phone was used for, but there's no easy way to link it to any particular person (the man excepted -- but as long as you don't enagage in terrorism, LOL, why would the man bother with you?
4. "Verifications" do suck, but it's a free country, so don't get "verified". I've never done it, and won't, ever. And "verification" is an misleading bs term: what exactly do they "verify", ask yourself? How does knowing your job number verify anything? I don't think it goes beyond a soft threat of possible blackmail, to be honest. Just in case, as it were. Of course, they don't guarantee that it's safe from anything else, or, if they do, can you trust them? So, like I said, I'd never do this sort of thing. And so: GV is good, burners are good, cash is good. The question is, who do you want to be anonymous from? For me, the point is to put some layers between me and providers, AMPs and the sort. I think GV layered on top of a burner phone does that. The point is that IF a bad situation goes down, let's say a provider you have been seeing gets knocked up, you can easily block her number in GV and "disappear. " If that doesn't seem like enough, just dump the GV number itself and get a new one. But IF that seems like it isn't enough, dump the GV number and the burner phone and start all over. So there. Three levels of distancing oneself from the hobby.
Does Google's business model based on tracking and knowing who you are? Sure? But what good does it do them to know who Cephlapod Love is? CL doesn't buy anything on line, he doesn't have an address, he has no purchasing power. And the same goes for Jason Smith who owns the burner phone that CL rides on? So what? Anyway, I was in Philly last month on business, figured I'd 'get down to business' while in town. If one has never been there before the names are useful. While the girls do change out frequently, one question Mamasan is likely to ask is if you have been there before.
