What I do is subscribe for a month at a time, because I generally don't need more than that. If you put up good photos and write a decent profile you'll get several messages almost immediately. It could still be a scam even if they aren't, but that's usually the first red flag.

Diaphragms go all the way inside and block the cervix and you wouldn't feel it (unless you're long enough to thrust into it). Female condoms like you said are visible.
