Kono wants $175 per person for Yakitori omakase. That's roughly $11 per stick. My favorite yakitori place was in SOHO and they sadly closed during the pandemic. They had a great sake list and I always order a bottle or 2.
$11 per Yakitori is nuts. That's more outrageous than $200 CIP asking price.

There used to be a yakitori place somewhere in midtown but I think it closed pre covid. It was nothing but meats on a stick.

There used to be a lot more but I think some zoning non-sense drove a lot of them much farther away from Main street.
