But you have things on your laptop called blue stacks which allows you to down load anything you would have on your phone you start with that and then there's other things you set up to get it. For someone who gets IP addresses could be cops. Be careful.

You don't need it to download / move files from one computer (phone) to another (PC). Texting someone isn't going to give away an IP address. But yes, browsing one's site will, if they own / run said site. One can use the Tor Browser to not reveal their actual IP. Of course, if one's always pointed to a gal's website when hitting them up, the main thing to look out for is whipping out the credit card! LOL.

I agree with Charlie. Again, the only way I can think of that she could get a person's IP is via a website that she owned and operated. Things like Texting Apps, Messaging Apps, STG, Cityxguide, Usasexguide, Facebook isolate us from other users seeing our info (ie IP address, browser type, screen resolution, previous site visited, etc). But the servers behind those apps and websites that I just mentioned are most likely collecting and saving your info to their database. Not a big deal in my opinion but if it bothers you then use a VPN, or like Charlie mentioned at least use the Tor browser. VPNs are cheap and Tor is free. However you will get more with a VPN (see attached image). Just make sure the VPN does not keep logs. Most don't.

Agreed. I have seen my share of providers and I have never had one ask me about what activities will we be engaging in. And then her followup question "so nothing sexual?". My god, she is either severely clueless about the process, or it is a setup by you know who.

If you worry about your IP revealed, avoid some communication thru some app ya never heard of. But it has nothing to do with a computer vs phone (which is literally just a small touch-screen computer). As far as browsing's concerned, the only caveat to TOR is it's slower than most (ie pay to play) VPNs. But in reference to partaking in this business, speedy browsing & fast downloads aren't a concern. You'd want VPNs for doing fast downloads + things outside the browser. Or to avoid slipping up and opening up your regular browser instead (doh), as VPN covers your whole connection.
