That explains the one guy who couldn't find it, as the address given is that of a 2 story office building, presumably in front of the condos. The more I look around CL, the more I notice ads similar to the Tao / Golden ads. Spidey Sense now leaning toward this being a very "organized" operation, and not by Uncle LEO.

Lets say the session was way shorter than what you paid for, or the girl didn't even try to be friendly. That tip should be a bit lower.
Lets say the girl lets you go over the time and provides enthusiastic service. That could warrant a bit more.

While the extra service is certainly the central theme, what about the act of a good massage in and of itself? Would it be considerate to get a massage from a "day spa" and not tip? Food for thought. Maybe it's time to rethink tipping. I do know that when it comes to seeing the same provider, YMMV regarding how much you tipped the last time.
Went this afternoon to ckeck out GT. Mamasan escorted me to room and collect the .8 for the hour. The returned and said no one was available and put me in the sauna. After about 10 minutes she walked me to the TS where she gave me an ok TS (4). Back to the room and she started the massage. All in all about 5. I asked if one of the younger girls would be in and she assured me she would be in shoutly. After about 15 more minutes of massage, Misan (?) entered and contunued with the back massage.
Quite interesting thereafter. Senior members PM.

Have had some great experiences at Little River Spa over of the last several weeks. Called yesterday and the number is disconnected. Went to the place and it looked completely closed up. At least no one was home, during prime hours. It appears to have shutdown, which would be unfortunate.
Went to another place in Annandale (on Backlick.) Got the usual NoVa treatment but not at all fun. Not like LRS was.
I noticed that MIO began advertising again on bp. I went over to check it out last evening, with some disappointment. The price had gone up to $.7 and they did not offer a full menu. The one girl I spoke with was pretty cute, but since I was not interested in a NOVA finish, I took my money and ran. Since they are not bombarding the boards with the free ads today, I wondered if my questions scared them off.

He clearly states that there can be (and are) circumstances that warrant a higher tip. He goes on to say the amounts he listed are a guide. All the tipping discussions have been about keeping the tip levels generally consistent. When guys tip .8 for for a HJ they make it harder for the rest of us to maintain the current levels. If you feel you got a great massage and/or extra special service that deserves some extra in the tip go for it. Just don't go too far overboard.
I have on occasion given what I consider an extra tip when service has been extra special. But I do it in 2 stages first I hand over the standard and then I say something about how great the massage was or how playfully she was and hand over the extra, but I always make sure she knows why she got it. But I also have under tipped when the service was short and rushed, luckily I have never been confronted or yelled at on those occasions, probably because they knew why.

Hey guys, well as the title says, new to the area, but not the hobby. I took some time to RTFF (amazing I know!) and decided that I would locate a little place not far away from me for my first adventure in the area. I did try to contact a senior member prior to ask about standard tips in the area, but haven't heard back of yet. Perhaps he is just being appropriately cautious about me being a newbie to the boards, and I dont fault him for it.
KT i'm sure you know which i'm talking about but just in case, its just inside the beltway off of Backlick. A Lovely lady answered the door and invited me in, asking if I could wait a few minutes. Aparently she was with another customer, but no problem I had set aside the time in my day to be there.
Again, since its my first experience in the area, I have to say I enjoyed the atmosphere at the place... although they did have a bit of louder music in the reception area that they needed to turn down just a touch... it wasn't bad music, just that with it being loud didnt lend itself to serenity.
The place was well appointed, nice rooms, good temperatures so definitely comfortable.
Waited a few minutes, then MMS came in and took me to the shower, and took care of that herself. She made some small talk, and asked me the obligatory "you been here before?", and for once in my hobby career I decided to be honest about it, and tell her that no, first time here, but been other places before.. just moved to the area. She smiled and held out her hand, which I placed so she knew I was ok :) I have to say, the water was HOT and I loved it.
Ruby came in, toweled me off, led me to the room, and gave me an exceptionally good massage. Worked out some definite kinks that had built up from lugging boxes up and down stairs. She was appropriately cautious but I did my best to aleviate her of her concerns. From what I read here, got the "standard nova finish".
Ruby and I talked for a few, found out a bit about her, and will definitely return to see her again. Though I know her real age, I would say that she could pass for late twenties to early thirties, but the wonderful thing about those Asian ladies is that they hide their ages well, and even knowing her real age, it doesn't put me off any... its more about personality and ability than anything else, and like I said, exceptional massage.
.8 for house, and not knowing the area, (and I didn't get any complaints) .6 as a tip for her. Perhaps that was a bit much, perhaps not enough, but was standard value for where I moved from. She earned it though either way, and her pleasant demeanor was a welcome relief for some of the practitioners who I have known in the past that just go through the motions.

If the massage is really good then it may warrant a bit extra when tipping. However even if the massage and extras are great, I can't see tipping twice the going rate like some people have done.
Does anyone else have any G2 on this? I posted last week that it appear to be closed. I am assuming this the case but would love to learn otherwise. However it is not in a convenient enough space to drive over randomly to see if anybody is home.

Don't know if it's the same, but sounds familiar to a "Thai Angel" massage I visited in Springfield. They were legit - and firm in only being that. Having said that, it was one of the best legit massages I've had in a long time.
Hopefully I'll check it out soon.
