If you cosign then you are obligated to pay the rent on that apartment if she does not. It's a month-to-month you're stuck on one months rent. Which doesn't seem like a huge risk if you think you're going to get some personal benefits out of it. But if you're stuck on a one year lease that presents a whole other level of risk. Especially if you have any significant others that you wouldn't want to have to explain why you cosigned A lease for a very pretty Korean girl, should I come to a lawsuit.

Then show up every once in a while and disappear again.
