Or you could open a couple of savings accounts with your bank. Transfer money between your checking account and them a lot. This will make things too complicated for her to keep track of.

you already have a joint account with her, and it sounds like she monitors it. not much else you can do as she'll get suspicious if you were to change anything.

tip: get an amex cc.

option: make small withdrawls out of your cash accounts, which are easier to explain, then bank the money into your own private stash. if she asks why you withdrew .40, .60, or .80, just tell her it was for gas at arco, or you went to a restaraunt that didn't take amex.

a shared bank account with any s/o es no bueno.

My friend did while he was married. He canceled his direct deposit and instead went to the bank every payday. If his net pay was $600 he would deposit $500 and withdraw $100 so the entry in the checking/saving account would read as $500. He did this for years. Of course he'd lose the transaction slips and check stubs....

Also, does being an election year have to do with the closing of so many AMPs? Did they get busted or no $$ from the economy? Heavenly and TC in Irvine. (ahhh sweet Julie. My ATF! ) closed. What are your thoughts?

It's the economy. There have been no published busts in CM and nothing mentioned at City Council meetings. (The Council meeting minutes are published on line.) I don't live in CM but many of my favorite places are there.

I know of at least two more places that will be closing by the end of the year. Many of the girls are very worried about being unemployed. If you have any favorites I recommend that you get their cell numbers. Many may be free lancing after the first of the year which could result in better service and lower prices.

I didn't know that Heavenly closed but Jacquline was nuts.

I went to another bank, opened an account there, and just have my $$ put in there by direct deposit. My company allows me to split my direct deposit into the two banks. Siphon just a little bit from your check and that will help. If you get a pay increase, be sure to take some of that and have it put into your own account.
I have the statements sent to my office so as long as I keep the card hidden, it should remain my own secret for some time!
