I'm a vet over there and I started out mongering with another guy just to be on the safe side so I know where the safe spots are. Truth be told it's a toss up really on that unless you have been somewhere before and know it's safe. Rules of thumb though...

1. No young dudes hanging around. Inside, outside or whatever. Look like a punk please and walk away if you walk in a house full of dudes. Most of the time they want you to pay at the door (usually 5) and if it doesn't feel right it isn't.

2. Private residences aren't always private. If it seems a little too dark or a little too quiet request some light or a look around or at least a locked door.

3. Old people are generally cool and just want the money. They are old and have been there a while and most of them either need the money or like helping the girls in hopes that they will help them. If you know what I mean.

4. Never carry more than you are about to spend. Don't hear of many car thefts around there but plenty of robberies. Lock your wallet in your trunk or your glove and only carry what you agreed to spend.

5. Call me silly but I like traffic. I like to walk into a house and see other people handling business. Well hear it or see them walking out or whatever. It tells me that the house is about business and doesn't want trouble. I don't need it to be a cattle call but other fellow mongers around gives me a sense of this might be ok.

That's not to say don't ever go to a SW's place but just get to know your surroundings and trust your instincts.
