I would see that as different than "haggling". I know what the established rates are and I have no issue meeting them. After the uncertainty of the last three years, we need some stability in the market and I am doing my part.

If a provider is asking for more than the established norm (the new established norm), I'll insist on the established norm and see if she agrees. I've not yet had to actually start getting dressed and walk out. I simply repeat the price I am willing to pay and point out that it's the established price for the services I'm requesting.

I have definitely sensed that providers who really don't want to give on their price but don't want you to walk away leaving them empty handed, will have a separate, lesser level of service they'll give if you don't meet their price. I don't go back to those places.

Parlors open until 10 PM, 11 PM or later will usually offer you something not listed on the official menu.
