Anyone else notice how much older the girls are on Seeking lately? Seems like 60% or more are 30 or older and almost 90% are over 25. I understand why there are more older ones since it is being marketed as a dating site now, but where are all the younger girls? It seems like it's the same amount of girls showing green as always, but way older now. Before maybe 1 in 10 were 30 or older and half were under 25.

We all have different standards and red lines regarding age, looks, weight, price range, etc. I get that.

I can't even imagine how this would work.

Camshow sites have been around for 20 years. And back in the 1980's, there were the 1-900 lines. (As a high school kid in 1985, I once dialed a 1-900 line out of pure curiosity. Now it's "start dating up". That is catnip to women over 30, who are starting to feel their biological clocks ticking. (Wait until they learn that the average SD is a married man twice their age, who wants to pay them $300 for ppm! Ha!

The Millennials (who were the original sugar babies of 2009-2014) are now entering early middle age. I suspect that some of the older ones on Seeking today are returnees. Also, the Millennials (the oldest of whom are now 40) were the original online generation. In 1999, Yahoo magazine ran an article about "camwhores", who were teen girls selling naughty pics online (and probably meeting for cash, too.) Well, an 18-year-old girl of 1999 is 41 in 2022!

I don't have kids. But I'm a GenXer (early 50's), and it seems that today's parents hover over their young adult children like hawks. They track their adult kids' whereabouts with iphone apps and whatnot. My best friend from high school has a 23-year-old daughter, and the girl's mother still tracks her location via a smartphone app. It's insane. For us, though, the upshot is probably that 18 to 23 year-old young women are subject to a lot more parental monitoring than was the case just a few years ago.

Finally, the lingering effects of COVID and the labor shortages. I think that will rebound, though, as most of the free COVID money is gone now, and inflation is providing an incentive for people to seek extra sources of income. (We may see a new crop of economically motivated providers and SBs before the end of 2022.).

In short: I have noticed it, too. And those of you who've read my prior posts know how I feel about "mature" providers and sugar babies: I have zero interest in them! But I believe the causes are multiple, and (hopefully) temporary. If I wanted older women I'd join Silver Singles!

I think there is an element of "dating up" involved as you mentioned. If they are in good shape and have a fun attitude, I do not totally reject them. However, I treat them as Ashley Madison type candidates. I will hook up with them if they want but I never offer an allowance. Since they enroll thinking it is a dating app, a lot of them do not know there can be an allowance involved. I have two I see occasionally like that. There are different dynamics for the 35 and over contingent. They still want sex but have a hard time finding someone they like on the other dating apps. They think seeking offers a higher class pool of candidates. As long as they understand we are just dating and there is no sugar, no problem! Given what's available on the escort market, a few of these AM types are diamonds in the rough. And I don't have to go bar-hopping to find them. Just my 2 cents.

The cops sometimes get on Seeking but they can really only go after the girls. They set up in a hotel room trolling for John's. Using the escort sites. If bored they might send offers to girls at absurd levels. If the girls agree, they say come on over and give the hotel room. This actually happened to a GPS woman who was on Seeking for a while. Anyone remember her name? It was like aniska siska or some such. (Too lazy to look it up.) If the girl shows she is busted. They might make the same approach to men but most men on seeking aren't after pros and are unlikely to agree to go straight to a hotel room. Avoid anything like that and you are good.

They will sometimes post profiles that claim 18 but the pics look much younger. I know that some people have been nailed but I do not have any links. Just avoid anyone who looks really young; it shouldn't actually need to be said. More often, these profiles will be scammers trying to extort you. I have had a few people try that with me but I never engage in behavior that might make me vulnerable. My experience after doing this for a while is that the HS girls stick out. One note though, do not trust the 'ID Verified' check marks. All the HS kids have fake ID's showing them as over 21.
