In my employment, they move by me so fast I had to come up with a system to keep them memorized for later approach. I've seen that tattoo. It was a Gwinnett County law, not a state law though. Buford is in Gwinnett County, and I wonder if this law is still in effect. Probably wouldn't do much good to prosecute though as the state law's age of consent is 16 and probably would override the county law.

Georgia's state law of age of consent is 16, but in Gwinnett County having sex with somebody who is 16 years old and younger is statuatory rape. There are city and county laws that differ from the state's laws. A city like Snellville has its own law that nobody is allowed to serve alcohol anywhere in a restaurant at least on a Sunday. Buford is part of Gwinnett County, so therefore this guy technically did commit statuatory rape, unless they abolished that law in Gwinnett County. Then again it could end up being a deadlocked case of county law vs. State law if this guy was to be prosecuted.

Just stick to 18+, and you won't have to worry.
Incidentally, the reason "prostitution" and "under 18" don't mix has nothing to do with age of consent, it's about "corrupting a minor", the ages of which happen to not actually match up with consent ages: funny how laws on the books don't always mix together well, which is why we need law's bartenders (lawyers and judges).
If you get caught in a sting with a 17 year old prostitute, you WILL go down hard, and your pleas of "what about age of consent?" will be, at best, ignored.
