Yes, I do think your chances improve when you speak their language even if spanish is not your first language. But specially for cuban girls, what I see that works for me is making sure you treat them right and they will reciprocate. I usually start out slow and try to get them into it or if I'm going to start going harder I make sure to let them know and if they are good with it. Making sure they are comfortable and in return they will give you a better time. I am trying to learn spanish too. It's been a long road and I can recognize words but not confident to talk back. I get lost quickly. This country is the worst in the world about learning multiple languages. We're just lazy!

My oldest sister did, and can speak three languages (French, Spanish, Swedish) in addition to English.

Truly mastering a language is hard work, no doubt, but think of the rewards you'll enjoy when you do so, one of which is connecting with Latina providers.
