This "coof" has basically caused us in the medical fields, to rewrite entire immunology and virology textbooks. Nothing, in the history of modern medicine, has behaved this way. The normal evolution of a virus is to become more transmissible, but less virulent. Something like Ebola that kills the host, quickly, tends to burn itself out, and not spread far beyond it's origin. Covid has mutated in multiple directions; however, the lethality of the UK, South Africa strains have not decreased as expected. The vaccines are also not 100%, which leaves us with more concerns.

Even the masks are basically just a social "gesture". The Covid-19 viral particles are about 65-115 nM. The best publicly available N-95 masks on the market still have pores around 300 nM. The best analogy I have heard on the usefulness of masks, is that it's basically the equivalent of throwing a handful of gravel at a chain link fence.

For what its worth, I am not an MD, but I have a decent scientific education, and few decades in medical research, under my belt. Everyone needs to make choices and take the risks that they are personally comfortable with. The HX site directed me to two different pay pages, and the first one only gave two options (crypto / snail mail, see attached screenshot).
