Made her show me her I'd, met her several times after she got out of class at a high school LOL. Rumor has it someone who looked just like me in the mirror and one of you as well can't remember who it was, who hit on the nc sc line a mom an adult not and a 16 yo. This unknown person went to their house when the mom and the aunt were gone and introduced tge daughter to birth control foam she wanted me to take her across the border to get something and I wouldn't do it. Playing Russian roulette, worked with her daddy! I'm guessing crossing the border is a different deal. This unknown individual did a 17 year old in gastonia years back but was freaked when she ended up in the news. Any of you ever do blondes daughter if I remember her name right?

Friend of mine got a voicemail on his voice app that he uses for the hobby claiming to be a cop investigating some goings-on. Deputy name is the name of someone listed in the sheriff's department but the phone number is completely different (that officer has his own number listed on the department website but the call did not come from that). On a search, phone number is showing up as probably VOIP. (Note that my friend was also contacted by a different party trying to scam him out of money but would drop charges if he gave him money).

So I've told my friend that this is 99% probability that this is a scam. Short of calling the police station and asking for that deputy and saying "did you call from this number", is there another way to verify? Friend is super paranoid and doesn't want to call because he's afraid of it being traced.

Did the person calling ask for him by real name? If not I would just delete the entire number and start with a new one. Burn that number and disappear. He hasn't done anything and it's all heresay I would think even if real which I bet it isn't. Somebody probably running a scam. Who is the asshole who tried to blackmail your friend as I believe that is highly illegal.

Sounds like a scam to me. I doubt a cop would call you like that. They would just show up at your door.

I don't think he ever used his real name (not his last name definitely). So at best they have his voice app number and first name. Would take some serious investigating to get his real info from that, so I'm telling him not to worry. Although I am thinking it is a scam for sure. But my friend is still trying to find out if that number is for real. It's not listed in the department so I guess it'd have to be a separate VOIP that the cop uses if that's the case.
