Ok. Different town, I know, but there really seems to be significant anti-AMP sentiment these days. Some interesting comments by officials, I think you will find.

This is an impossible argument for AMP-frequenters, who obviously want to be as discreet as possible. While those on the other side masquerade as civic heroes.

Don't know what all the fuss is about really. What with recent mass-murders, et al. Not to mention a state that has the highest per capita debt in the entire country.

Swung through Sun Shine this afternoon. Parking lot was empty, lights off, look closed. I was on my way somewhere so I did not stop and try the door bell.

Stopped by today. They are open but only for table shower and massage. Nothing else not even a HJ. 70 for 1 hour.

Went there last night and it looked closed. No more neon "open" sign. I went to the door and saw a paper sign on the door that said open. The mamasan was very cautious and said to me "no trouble". There isn't a poster here that doesn't have (more or less) the same point of view. This whole thing kind of caught me off guard, I must admit. As being somewhat of a veteran of the asian persuasion (like that?) , I always had the impression that the powers that be basically "looked the other way". You know it really wasn't hurting anybody.

It was one appealing aspect of CT (there really aren't many). These attractive, fun, friendly asian girls who, basically, look at it the same way you and me do (I've had more than my share of discussion with them on this). Quite frankly, what the state came up with to stop this was really quite clever. The massage license thing. It will be hard to get around it for a variety of reasons. Too bad the state doesn't have the same ingenuity. Not even close. When it comes to picking up the economy around here.

Ct has become a very desolate place, and certainly not just due to this. We will be one of the last states to come out of recession (if we ever do) ; we have one of the highest per capita debts (higher even than NJ, from what I hear). I don't see a lot of hope for this state. Not much to offer.

I tend to follow the George Carlin axiom. Marijuana and prostitution. Legalize and tax the hell out of it. Presto! Balanced budgets! Revenue!

What we have instead are four overweight Bridgeport women who view this "law enforcement" action as saving the community. They made a bunch of noise, I guess, and (I suppose) shamed local government into the crackdown. Wow that really saved CT. Everything's good now.

Hey, I got a novel idea! How about some jobs? How about putting people back to work? How about putting money in people's pockets, getting construction and housing rolling again. Or at least back to some acceptable level. And. How about doing it without throwing a ton of public dollars around. 'cause that's all were doing. We need private industry to get back on line. Private construction. Private projects. Private employment. With benefits.

Any thoughts on how to do that? Or is it just going to be the same Mickey Mouse bullshit around here in CT.
