Never discuss money or specifics when you first met someone until they first have proven to your satisfaction that they are not LE themselves, then you can choose to do the favor. A few common sense rules will go a long way in making sure your safe:
1) If the provider looks too good and a low rate is advertised, it's typically a scam and someone looking to rob you.
2) Do your homework first, and check out common review sites such a TER and even here to an extent. These are not definitive, but they at least offer some reassurance. You can also search for more of their ads on CL and get an idea for how long they've been posting. Googling their number can sometimes find posts on other sites, escort boards, or ads in other states (Another good indicator they are not local LE).
3) Check to see if the provider offers in and out call, or if short notice is okay. This kind of flexibility is more difficult for a sting operation to mimic.
Starting out, I'd recommend browsing around on here for the recommendations of Senior members for some "safe bet" starter experiences.

Yeah, I'm with you on any 'funkness' going on down there, but you generally can smell that before you get started and you should have opted out or asked her to go shower prior to doing the deed.
