Club 101 was our favorite. We became members there shortly after it opened in an old VFW post. They built a new hall for the vets up the street. We were also members at Dayton Swim Club and Temptations.

The clubs tend to have cliques. If you fit in you have a good time. Most couples are looking for other couples, not single men. My girl wouldn't give a single guy the time of day.

One of the many things this guy did was open / operate Dayton Swim Club. He is not from Dayton. They are from Spfld. I run into him a few times a year sometimes more. There was a shooting, a man stand off on the roof at Dayton Motor Motel on Dixie, locked down the area completely. There was an arrest for a gun point burglary made at Travelers' Motel just up north from it.
