The argument that Non-Violent crime leads to more violent crime is not completely accurate. This is the same argument that Marijuana prohibitionist use, the Gateway argument. Both of these scenarios are correlated but not causal. Thus the logic that preventing non violent crime will prevent violent crime is flawed.
Your argument seems to condone allowing rape kits to go unprocessed etc. In the idea that focusing on SW will stop violent crime. I don't buy this line of logic.
The hobby is a consensual act between two adults. This SHOULD NOT BE A CRIME under the constitution our country was founded upon. The only reason it is a crime is the influence of the Christian Right who want to enforce their morals on the entire population of the United States.
BTW. If we legalize ALL drugs and convert the current Criminal Justice solution to addiction into a health problem, based on empirical evidence, the addiction rates would be cut in half while unburdening our Criminal Justice System and unloading our Prisons. Cartels would be severely impacted. I can't say with confidence that they would fully retreat but what's left in the black market for them to profit?

Also you can't even get mad at Metro, they took their orders from the captain who get his orders from the Mayor. So the Mayor is who you should be made at not metro. Its like if you were working at mcdonalds and a customer get angry at you because a cheeseburger is $2, they need to get mad at the ceo / or owner of mcdonalds.
Alot of you come from your nice comfortable suburb, or rural area to get SW time to time, give them money and then go back home to your rural area or suburb and hide out until you need the fix again, so your like its ok nothing wrong with it but you don't see the gritty side of it.
