15th Ave Bookstore

I made my first visit to 15th Ave earlier this week. I had plans that fell through and since my short list of "just in case" numbers failed me as well decided to look at other options. Since a quick review of the finacial situation told me a AMP visit was out of the question, I decided to check this place out. Since I have been following along with the thread for awhile I knew that it was apt to be a hit or miss thing. Much like the rest of my evening it turned out to be a miss for the most part. When I got there about 10 pm I noticed several cars in the lot, so I had some optomism on whether I was wasting $20 at the door or not. When I went in the theater I noticed a woman up front with two guys sitting close by. From the back I couldn't tell much about her except she was apparently female and her pants were around her ankles. Both good signs. Unfortunately when she stood up and turned around I realized that she was not my cup of tea to keep things on the polite side. After a few minutes I decided to check out the booths. Nothing but a few guys there. Once again not my cup of tea. Back to the theater with the intention of just hanging out and seeing what would happen. After about an hour of so of nothing but guys coming in and staying for a few minutes and one offer of a bj from a guy, I decided it was time to go. Ended up taking care of myself in one of the booths just so the night wouldn't be a complete waste. I did see several condom wrappers on the floor in the theater and a used condom in the bathroom trash can, so looks like something went on there sometime earlier. Any recommendations on times or days of the week that have a better chance of seeing something worthwhile?

LOL, I've never had a guy flat out offer to blow me there but I've had several give me "the eye". I never make eye contact with anyone when I'm in that place because in case you haven't noticed, about 75% of the men in there are either gay or at the very least bisexual. When I see more than 1 or 2 guys sitting outside, that's my cue that there isn't any women, or at least attractive women, there so I usually don't even bother going in. It's going to be harder to tell now that winter is coming as nobody will likely be sitting outside.

I am in fact straight and it was actually Thursday not Sunday, but thanks for the heads up. You probably saved me some further disappointment since Sunday afternoon/evening is one of the few times of the week that I have free time on a regular basis.

I have been in quite a few adult bookstores in my day and I'm well aware they are usually beacons to the gay dudes, but this is the one and only time that I have been directly propositioned. If I hadn't been so creeped out about it I probably would have laughed. The guy walked up while I was sitting in the theater watching the flick, slapped me on the shoulder, and casually asked "So, you wanna blowjob?". He said it in the same voice you would expect a buddy to use asking if you want another beer while he is headed to the frig. As it was I didn't laugh and frankly was so shocked all I could do was mumble "no thanks" and immediatly go back to watching the movie and pretending he didn't exist. Thankfully he took the rejection well, and went on his way with no hassle.

It's really hit or miss as for a good time to go. Probably better off joining the group and finding out when someone will show. The pickings are slim though, with about 3 girls worth the visit: Femcar, Patricia and Nancy. The rest aren't really my type, and usually weigh in somewhere around 250lbs.

It's odd that someone would be so forward like that because I would think that most gay guys wouldn't come right out and ask someone unless they are positive that a person is gay for fear of being threatened or worse. I hate to say it but maybe you looked effeminate or non-threatening. That's the only reason I can think of.

I am far from feminine, I am way to ugly to be gay. When I am in a place like that I try not to call attention to myself and mind my own business, which I suppose could be taken as non-threatening. My attitude is pretty much live and let live when it comes to so called alternative lifestyles, but want no part of it myself. I have visited many adult book stores all across the US and Europe and this was the first time I have been directly approached. Hopefully it will be a once in a lifetime thing. If nothing else it seems to have given a few people something to laugh about.
