Lacated on Hwy 45 N. is an Adult Store called His and Her's. I stopped in there a few times few years back. Merchandise very expensive. I hoped something could be bought. Tried some conversation with the girl working in there and she acted like I was bothering her. Last 2 trips down 45 I noticed 4-5 vehicles in the parking lot. Didn't have time to stop. I wondered if any of you fellows traveling had stopped in. This good be another Shutemate place. Its only about 11 - 12 miles from Meridian. Any info would help.

I'm pretty sure that is mostly a legit adult toy store. I did a similar survey of the adult stores around Jackson and they seem to be just what they say they are.

Since folks here have been talking about Ma Shumates I recently had the opportunity to take a detour up old Hwy 80, and yes I mean the old hwy, and crap I'm not sure if the old place even exists anymore. If it is it is all grown up around it. When I was a teenager we thought we were hot stuff just by pulling in the parking lot...never had the nads to go inside when it was operating back then. I was thinking some biker gang was running a white slave operation and when that got busted Ma's was part of it.

I drove by Ma's old place about a year ago. It was still there then, but they had taken the fences down.

I would be surprised if it had grown up to be unrecognizable since then.

We may be talking about two different locations though.

The one I am talking about is the last one that was in operation just before it was closed. The bar was in one building, then you went out back through an outside yard that had a wooden privacy fence to get to the "hotel". It was set back just a little more from the road, and was located about 100 feet to the right of the bar building.

The last time I was at the 45N location, it was just an overpriced toy store that apparently caters to the air base up the road.

I do not know why anyone would pay their kind of prices back then. (about 2 years ago)

No thats the one. I never got to go there. I was Married at the time to a woman from that area. Her brother was on the Sheriff dept. I rode by quite often and didn't stop. At one time I had the newspaper report when it was shut down. Wish it was in operation now.
