I actually use this forum to help me avoid FS places.

So I gave it a try about a year ago. The masseuse asked right away if I'd been there before. I lied and said yes, then she kept asking who I was with and what she did for me. I declined to answer but she was really persistent (even if I had been there before I wouldn't have told her what someone else did for me). Then she kept asking how much I was going to tip. She didn't like what I offered, and kept haggling. (I said I would give at least $50, and maybe more if she did a great job). So it was impossible to relax and enjoy the massage for even a few minutes. I don't think she gave me her real name, but she was Korean. We couldn't agree on anything, so she just cut the massage 20 minutes short with no extra services at all, and I left without tipping, never to return. Others seem to have a better experience than me, so YMMV I guess.

$100 tip for a 90 min massage seems like that would be standard tip and not excessive. I would assume most people consider a standard tip the same amount paid for the massage. If hhr is $40 the tip is $40, hr $60 tip is $60. I would also say if you are tipping less than that the girl will remember you and your next visit will not be as enjoyable or at the very least they aren't going to give you anymore than basic jackhammer.

It was something like you were happier going in than when you were leaving. Tip haggling is such an F'ing buzz kill. For now, unless someone else chimes in, I will assume the folks that like MBC are high tippers in general and in this situation, there is no tipping drama.
But I do like to keep an open mind, so is there is anyone out there that can convince me or us otherwise. For those that like this place so much, how would you recommend for non-typical-MBCers to approach this place and expect a good non-haggle free experience? For 90 minutes, what amount do I need to throw on the table in advance for things to go smooth?
