I know one very famous girl who visits town who no longer sees black men because she was kidnapped drugged and beaten by a well known black pimp in town. Told her she shouldn't have put herself in that situation for it to happen. I'd have thought she lied if it wasn't for the fact I was sitting in the detectives office when he said it to her. Because of this getting her to return to town will be almost impossible.

I do, however, respect that people's opinions are naturally shaped from their experiences (direct and vicarious), but when "people" use a small subset of "comments" to hide behind and toss grenades, I have to call it out. I've had this SAME conversation with plenty of men and women, and of multiple races too, as I think it's quite healthy and a responsible thing to do when everyone is open-minded. As a matter of fact, I feel the need to have these kinds of conversations (face-to-face) so as to show "people" we (yes, I'm a BLACK man) can converse about this subject, share some thoughts and experiences, and hopefully grow and spread more great experiences to directly contradict the few bad ones that seems to stall any advances we make in interpersonal growth. Now, as for these ladies, I have seen every "no AA" provider I have ever wanted to see, but I am 1) very confident and carry myself as a complete catch in general, as I monger (ed) solely because I struggle with the concept of a relationship after my divorce, 2) do my best to keep my personal appearance impeccable, and 3) dress like I'm better than the next guy regardless if I'm in business or casual attire. Again, it's not lost on me that there's plenty perceptions about the males of my race concerning a LOT of things, some warranted simply by others' experience, some by what we are fed in the media we consume, and some based solely on fear and ignorance. I'm here to say I really want to see and believe that we are mature enough here to stop perpetuating foolishness, all while understanding we're not all "at THAT point where we can let go and quite possibly may never get to". Maybe you don't know the way it works but when a member chooses to ignore another member what appears when the ingnored member posts is a blank post. His name is still there but the post states a reminder that we have elected to ignore him. I have chosen to ignore the few guys here in Orlando that continue to post useless drivel and the Boston Southee's that are now here attacking them. On the day I made that post it was because when I opened the Rat Trap thread the first page contained nothing but these guy's posts, and so it was a page of ignore messages. I find that to be funny. That is all.
You and I have always gotten along. We have an unusual relationship and respect that I think has served us well and kept us out of the drama that seems to plague some threads. Maybe you don't agree. Your choice. But I have never uttered a discouraging word to you or about you. The positive review I did of you way back when made your phone ring. That is what you told me. What was my last Daytona post? The band has been in Las Vegas so most of my posting has been there. Was it the discussion on Ashley UTR? If so, I was just making the point that she is a first class SP and if she verifies a guy then you can believe her. I know there was some guy bitchin' about her not having many posts. My take on it is, a SP with not very many posts can't be a bad thing.
