There is a gate to walk through to get to the apartment, but recently it hasn't been locked. But when it was they would give you a code to dual for someone to open it remotely unlike FEC where you have to wait for someone to open it to get in.

I've made complaints about this in the past, but it's not that hard either. Half the time the gate is open (moving truck rigged it open, delivery people, maintenance, etc.), usually it's easy, and when it's not I have tried using the glasses trick (at certain hours nobody comes in for a while). SDAG has different locations and one is very easy access while the other is gated.
