The person sent me to a town home community but wouldn't give me the door number until I gave them the numbers off the card. I knew then it was a scam. I left and within minutes my phone was ringing. A guy telling me he wanted the numbers or he would report. My license plate number and name to the police. I laughed at him. And hung up.

But they sure are being used for scamming and stealing money. I know of a big box retailer that got scammed for thousands on a single gift card scam.
