Denial is not a river in Egypt
Some thoughts on Afghnistan:
First of all the entire situation is a tragedy and I feel for the Afghani people, those who are still trying to get safely ou, and those who gave their lives during the conflict.
I spent four long years on the Air Staff and thereby have a bit of knowledge of how this all works. I was in XOO (Operations) not XOX (Plans) but I worked enough with the planners to know that nothing is ever thrown out. It can be revised ad nauseum, but the old plans are still on file and ready to be dusted off.
President Biden has taken some severe hits for the lack of planning here and rightly so. However, it was President Trump who made the agreement with the Taliban and established the May 1 withdrawal date. But clearly he had no plan on how to do this either or the armed forces would have had in place unless it was superseded by a newer Biden era plan, which is obviously not the case.
That being said, the only difference in the end game that I see is that it all would have occurred four months earlier.
I blame both sides. There is certainly enough of it for each of them to share. I just wish we could now concentrate on getting our people and allies out of there. The finger pointing can wait.
Mr. Bullet,
You have a serious case of denial. Leaving millions of dollars worth of our hardware (Humvees, guns, ammo, drones, helicopters, etc) for the Taliban to have is perfectly ok? Are you going to say that was our parting gift to our enemy? Are you going to say that Trump would have done that?
You talk about "knowing" a little about how this works because you were in military admin. Were you on the ground in Afghanistan? Did you fire a weapon? Were you fired at? You don't know squat.
This is a colossal failure by this administration and our woke military leaders of epic proportion.
Furthermore, most of us are on this board because of our interest in pussy. 90% of your posts are rant and raves trying to defend leftist ideals. Maybe if you spent more time pursuing pussy you'd have a more balanced outlook on things.
Is this horse-shit I smell?
President Trump's Plan.
First. Get our Embassy Staff out.
Next. Get all Americans and Allies (non-Afghani's out).
Next. Get our working and repairable military equipment out.
Next. Get our Afghani Allies out.
Next. Last of the military leave.
But UnPresidential Biden would not even consider following something President Trump's administration wrote.
Don't be a sucker.
Yea right, he had a brilliant plan. He just forgot to inform those responsible for carrying it out.
Just Watched President's Biden Press Conference
Along with the 15,000 Americans and 80,000 Afghan allies abandoned in Afghanistan, we are completely fucked.
You would never believe it
Regardless of how many ways it was proven you all still would not believe it. Several military from his admin have states the same.
