Fake Chinese profiles are now in nearly every market in the US. They may list themselves as Asian or Mixed. All of them use fake pics. Say they don't need allowance as they are self sustaining. Looking for friendships or love. Say they have a company in US and are here on business. Or, say they live here, invest in currency exchange or crypto. Ask your name. Then ask what your job is. After that its blah blah. Any pics they send are not from US if you look at enough of them and close enough. Here is an example of such a profile (while it lasts)

This one has had at least two profiles since January.

I have a firm rule nowadays: I don't make plans with anyone without a videochat first. I've been catfished several times. I have also made inconveniently long drives for no call, no show girls. Lately seeking is quick to ban people's from what I read and I think they may have also included or induced bots and fake profiles on the site who provocate you to use banned terminology and then quick to ban. I only talk turkey when I'm actually talking: preferably via videochat, or at least on the phone. Or in person, depending on the circumstances.

Just go online or give your card company a call to start the process. Fortunately, it forces the company to either respond or eat it. It probably wouldn't work with a vanilla card, but I've never had a credit card company not side with me. I only mention it because I just did a chargeback for a legit issue, and the company ate it plus an additional fee from the bank. If it happens to them too often, their processing fees go up.

I think Seeking relies on the fact that most people aren't going to do it. That's why they're so quick with the ban hammer.
