I've reached out to a few ladies and they say that they don't take cash only different forms of gift cards "for their safety" (apple pay, visa gift cards, google play, etc). Are these scams or has anyone gone through with that and everything turn out fine?

It was the only form of payment that she accepted. I never went through with it, but I would bet her next move would be to ask for the card number to "verify" it, which would then be added to her account immediately, and your card would now be useless.

If they don't take cash then 99% of the time its a scam. That 1% could be legit if they can videochat to prove they are real, if not then pass them by.
