PPD and the Manufacturing of Evidence
As I said, if you have nothing illegal in your car you have nothing to worry about. But, if there is something in your car you shouldn't have, whether you give the cops permission to search your car or not, you will end up paying extensive legal bills either by trying to get the charges dropped/reduced, or attempting to sue the police for illegal search. Either way, it will cost you alot of money and time to settle it. Having a piece of paper in your car listing the 22 rules for mongers will be the least of your problems.
I have to agree and disagree. Just a warning to everyone who's read the 4th amendment. The PPD obviously has not. I know what you're all thinking, they have to have probable cause or a warrant, we're US Citizens and we have rights. Well the PPD didn't read that part in the Bill of Rights, with all the budget cuts they must've skipped that class at the academy. I've had my car tossed for no reason without my consent twice. My neighbor had a small bag of Marijuana planted in his car to cover an illegal search, the list of abuses goes on and on. My advice, when dealing with the PPD, avoid them like the plague, keep all documentation for your car in order, don't give them any attitude as they can be pretty hostile and unpredictable. There are most likely some good cops out there, however those aren't going to be the ones stopping you for no apparent reason. And I do agree Speed in that situation the "22 rules" would be the least of your worries.
