However, the notion that anyone is committing a crime because they take a sidearm with them while doing an illegal activity is not true. If you were arrested for for lets say a DWI and you were legally carrying a sidearm, you would not get charged with committing a crime with a gun. There is a world of difference between committing a crime while carrying a gun and committing a crime with the use of a gun.


Keep in mind though, if you ever find the need to use your sidearm, even if you are 100% justified, it is going to cost you $1000,000's to defend yourself.
