March had a brief spike in jgirls. It was during the end of the academic year in Japan, and one girl I saw mentioned they came for that timing. Can't speak of the rest, but there are always ups and downs. Slots need to get filled, and while they try to be efficient there are always, delays, problems, and changes. Due to a weak economy and yen, jgirls do leave Japan to tour. But they do so in every direction. Many jgirls said they had toured in other countries, some more often than the US. Some will even go to South Korea and Taiwan, which would have been unheard of decades ago. So it is not really a Japan vs US decision. Most touring jgirls never touch the US.

It is not obvious, but a few jgirls cannot do long tours due to commitments back home. I even once wrote a poem illustrating the expectations of fans back home.

The US is a tricky destination. It has the highest margin partly to justify the greater distance, costs, delays, and risks. It is particularly hard to enter repeatedly/often, with more legal scrutiny, than other countries. But I see plainly that some girls are able to do so without problem. Prices are regulated by other cities and alternative countries. I wouldn't expect drastic price changes up or down. The rate for a jgirl is regulated by cgirls and kgirls. Of course, exceptional girls of any type can charge more than usual.

It goes without saying that for the same approximate quality of girl and service, it can never be cheaper or even close here than in Japan. When a region or country has a recession, rather than dropping prices the girls just stop showing up. If people aren't spending money, it means fewer girls.
