The review I posted on I's was more of a normal review in style. While I had a couple responses, there have been over a 100 viewings. I'm a newbie as far as writing reviews. Actually your my first real review, I wrote one a while back in the newbie section on I's in an attempt to help newbies avoid mistakes I had made. Neither I, nor were they, able to even read the details of the review I had written until you added your vouch for me. I respect his opinion and others as I may or may not learn something from them, but I wasn't attempting to stir up a hornets nest. If there are discussions going on over there beyond the one post. I am unaware of them, and really don't care much.

I was under the impression that mongering was supposed to be fun. The business of mongering is serious with all the things that can and do go wrong, but as the old saying goes, If I ain't havin fun, I quit. LOL.

NKKG suggested I be "creative" and also supplied a similar example that he had written. I liked it, thought is was fun to write while supplying the info a guy needs.

I'm not sure I will do it again in the future, but I may if it feels like fun.

I am very glad you enjoyed it, after all you and I are the stars of that paticular story. I'm also happy to pass on useful information to others that are interested. Thats what the site is about and thats the bottom line.

Why not just PM the author for that info?

As a general rule, I think it should be understood that anyone should "PM for more info" whether it is explicitly stated or not. Some [b][i]may[/i][/b] want to restrict PM's for more info to Seniors and trusted Regular Members, in which case, that [b][i]should[/i][/b] be explicitly stated.

On the other hand, Dave, if you absolutely hated everything about the post, that is different. That does not appear to be the case based on what you wrote here. You just said it was too long winded. I, personally, think being creative (as long as it is informative) is OK. I don't see why the two must be mutually exclusive. To each his own.

Just wanted to make a suggestion to all about remembering to PM for more detail.

As I also said, I wasn't attempting to stir up any issues, it was just fun. I have read your opinion and will accept that it is one of many. I am certainly new and have lots to learn including how to write a review that does it intended job.
