An old trick learned many years ago that way you have some plausable deniability if ever accused of offering something in exchange for services. Another approach I have used with great success is the opposite Mikey, I set the base price and since I'm older and don't have as frequent a need, I'll wait until they hit me up needing some help, then I give it the ole, "well hey, its a few days til payday but have X on me and a few minutes if that would help you." I have NEVER EVER been turned down when working that angle and have gotten some for. 40 on the dollar. Of course the next time I go back to the regular rate. I will give some extra on occasion but usually connect it to a specific need rather than performance. That way they know if they have a financial need they can count on this Daddy and call him 1st. Occasionally I look for prospects in neighboring cities to Charlotte, within less than 2 hours drive. Here is the one in Columbia SC. Uses social distancing as an excuse not to meet. As much of a new prospects are popping up on the site, I am also seeing increase in these kind of excuses. I'd meet but I can't due to virus, blah, blah, blah.
