Recently, I've had to park downtown for job for several months. Sometimes right near some of the campers. I've had two of the campers offer services after they see you around some. One was totally old & utterly undoable. There was one cute curly haired redhead spinner that would always flirt with me & made it known she was down to fuck. I toyed with the idea of bringing her home & cleaning her up, until one morning was taking a call in my vehicle saw her running weirdly near the 405 underpass where I usually parked. Watched her drop jeans & projectile shit against overpass support, then calmly walk away without wiping.
That killed many of / if not all of my dirty daydreams about homeless campers.

Was out sat night for a few hours mainly looking for one reguler and the cute latino girl that no one seems to be able to pic up saw many girls out one was just not sure how to put it looked really good from avout 30 yards skinny blond she gets close and wow must be about 60 and hit with the whole damn ugly tree. Scared the hell out of me LOL. Yet, in North America, Latino can also refer to all genders with ties to Latin America. I think us gringos use the terms interchangeably or perhaps now because it seems gender neutral or we are just fucking lazy.

From reading prior reviews it seems like the Portland street scene dies down early. Just the opposite of where I'm from. Am I wasting my time cruising around between 12 am to 2 am?

But I can say that I've cruised, both successfully and unsuccessfully, at various hours of the day and night. Mornings can fruitful. One SW told me that she prefers early weekday mornings because she gets guys on their way to work. (But this might change now that we're getting into fall and winter.) A couple of times I've run 82nd between midnight and 2 or 3 am and to my surprise saw few SWs. IMO, late night cruising--on Friday & Saturday nights, especially--is more risky because the ladies can stand out more, looking more obvious, as do we, since there are relatively few vehicles on the road. And LE can be more vigilant in their patrols around the time the bars close. If you're in Portland for a limited time and want to be assured (as much as one can be assured) of a quality encounter, I recommend booking time with an escort. There are many in the Portland area that are well-established and well-reviewed.
As a dedicated SW enthusiast, I can say Markus's remarks are pretty much dead on.
After midnight my "Danger Will Robinson" effect always kicks up a notch or so.
Sometimes it's a smorgasbord of SW's one night & shit the next night, yet I think you can safety say there's always some out.
Though I might add that between + 4-7 pm. are usually a productive time, though the pickup can be a pain because of our traffic.

Cruised 82nd end to end between 9:45 to 12:15 last night. Figured a mild night would have them out.
Saw a fine looking late 20's redhead in skintight jeans / jacket / nice heel boots just south of Glisan. Caught up pefectly at the Wendys to only get ignored, thought she might have been a civilian but she was walking hard between Halsey & Division all night.
