In order to become a Senior member you have to TOFTT and risk getting into trouble, which, I though this board was about. Guys helping each other with reviews to make sure we all stay safe.

No one expects you to always TOFTT or any such thing. First off just use the crappy search feature as much as possible to gather your intel before you ask about a girl that's been reviewed extensively. Secondly, it's as much, if not more so, for the protection of valued providers. What don't you guys understand about that? I'm not going to share intel that isn't already on the board with some newbie who hasn't proven his isn't LEO. How do you prove that? Provide reviews on girls or hook up guys with real providers. It really isn't that hard. I lurked for a long time before I got involved and it's just been, that I recall, the last year or two when the drama started. Mostly because low-post, non-trusted members think they deserve to be shared with from the beginning. I don't have any problems with new members but I won't sell one of my providers down the river either.

Then the reviews posted here include a name. Now try searching Backpage with only a name. You will find at least 3 different girls under that name which leaves us new guys to, once again, guess which one the senior member was talking about and TOFTT. Now heaven forbid we are married or have a lot to loose if we pick the wrong one so most just ask for specifics.

Now I understand your relationship with your girls. I'm not saying anything bad about that, but is there not a thread about how we the "hobbyist" should not befriend them? Why should it be a double standard? If we shouldn't trust them, then why shouldn't the seniors be willing to help us new guys out with who we can trust to get refferences and then, post reviews?

Not to take away the status you have achieved (congratulations), but how might a poster get senior [senoir?] status with only 27 posts? I only ask because many posters use senior status as a means of (imprecise) sifting of whom they should trust by PM of sensitive information.

I do not question that you might be a great candidate for this level of trust, but you can probably understand the questions of how this trust is built. What precludes LE from making 28 posts, getting senior status, and using the PMs they get to wreak havoc among senior members who PM information to them?

At least make the attempt. When you ask for intel state that you made the attempt and couldn't find anything based on x, why and z. Otherwise you look lazy if you just ask out of nowhere.

As for double-standards, no such thing. If you have a trusted auto mechanic would you want something to happen to them? They aren't my friends. I don't hang out with them any more than I do my mechanic, plumber or lawyer. They're all valuable, however. Occasionally, as a hobbyist, you may think you are developing a friendship but you are not. Never trust a provider but that doesn't mean you can't value their services. In this game they are mutually exclusive. PM if you would like to discuss further as I'm happy to do so.

Be a member for at least six months and have 25+ posts. Granted, it really would not surprise me if there aren't LE that are senior members since the reports of providers do not get verified. When I am with a girl, I tell her my handle on here so that if necessary, she can vouch for me to another provider. I would hope that an advertiser on here would at least call out somebody that claimed they had paid them a visit, but you never know and not all the BP advertisers frequent this board.

It took me longer then 6 months to make 25 posts but mostly because I don't play nearly as often as I like AND I lost my password for my old account (and the password to my hotmail email that I used with it) so anything there (if I ever posted) was not credited to me. Not that it matters but I never had an issue with a senior member trusting me after I had made enough credible posts. I fell into that trusted member status for quite a few and that was completely fine with me. The main thing that my senior status got me that I really like is that my posts go up right away!

If your concerned about senior status not meaning everything do what I do and check their post history like I do.

I've been on here about a year and a half but don't post much so I'm still not considered a senior member. I don't base my opinions on what their rank is but more on their posting habits and what the info provided is like. If someone has 30 posts asking for info I'm not likely to contact them or return a message from them if they send me one. If someone has been on here a year and has the occasional meaningful post but still hasn't reached senior member status I'm still likely to communicate with them.
