A while back DMV / DC was one of the best hobby regions along I-95 outside NYC and ATL. A lot money in this area due to the government. A lot of traveling providers, especially the upscale ones, would make DC a must stop.

I'll say this, if you like "upscale" providers, in particular Asians and White ladies, then this area is still good. Especially around Northern VA.

However, the shutdown of BP and increase in "e-hobbying" killed the scene. BP was an easy platform to navigate for casuals (who keep the scene interesting) so when it closed down there was a vacuum.
