PD is fine - for the 1st court date. Tell your PD what happened & that you want to fight the charges. Do not take a deal. At the least: this will give you more time. The case against you is "He said. Tell the PD you want to fight ie - trial by jury. And you plan to call the asshat guy as a witness. Be firm. Let your attorney talk for you. Not a whole lot of detail. You are innocent. The police and the state have to PROVE.....You know exactly what proof they have. And the state does not want a trial. Too much money. They want to scare you into taking the charge. Since his deal was nothing on him for flipping on you ....calling him to testify as a witness will scare the shyte outta him.

I am sure you know there is a lot more to a jury trial than just "I am not quilty because" hell if that worked we would not need lawyers. I do not think they understand knowing what not to ask is just as important as what you do ask. And never ask a question you do not already know the answer too.

just passed by Highland/Summer, there was a girl laid out on the concrete pedestal that holds the walgreen's sign, i mean laid out on it waving to cars going by, had curly hair and huge tits, wearing shorts and a bikini top. not a real good looking woman but definately caught your attention, drove around the block and by the time i got back there was a cop car and he was putting her in the back seat, this is around 700pm. anyone else witness this? strange indeed, haven't seen her before....

Have seen her before. They lock her up in the funny farm for a month of so & then it is back in circulation. Stay away from that loony tunes character. Last time they locked her up. She was parading down the center of Summer with nothing on, but a throng & tennis shoes, big tits, just a flopping.

The state wants this to happen. Now WHY, would anyone voluntarily give away any of their rights? Esp. if using them is in your best interest? Any defense attorney knows the rules of evidence and discovery just as the state knows it's obligation to disclose the same. The same rules apply to all criminal cases - no matter where the attorney comes from. Thats the defense part of defense attorney. Discovery is not the sole purveyance of privately paid attorneys. It's granted by law to all defendants. You can find it filed under "Motions" in a room off the clerk's office waiting for an attorney to fill in the blanks after date, court and case number, sign and turn into the clerk of the court.

I don't think the previous poster reflects the majority of the members of the board. I was never a customer (thought about it), but from the reports I read you provided a good, honest service; you treated your customers with respect and deserve respect back in kind.

I could see if someone was robbing people or spreading diseases or selling drugs to kids but if alla gal is doing is trying to take care of her kids and pay her bills it should be left up to her (my opinion)either way I have decided I will see only people I have seen already and more then one time and that really blows because I really enjoyed meeting my new clients but its to big of a risk. BD, you are obviously one of the more intelligent posters on this board.

Neysa, every time you open your proverbial trap you dig your own hole just a little deeper. You need to stop posting about your misfortunes immediately and request Jackson delete your previous posts. Then [b]HIRE[/b] a [b]GOOD[/b] lawyer, there is still a chance you can beat this rap, but not by playing your own lawyer and listening to advice from sidewalk and monger board lawyers. Don't rely on an overworked PD or a divorce lawyer, you need a criminal lawyer, as you have been charged with a crime. Whoever said one who acts as their own lawyer has a fool for a client spoke the unvarnished truth.

My personal take, your mistakes are as follows:

(1) Proceeding under the delusion that jacking guys off for money is NOT prostitution.

(2) Naively opening the door for the cops simply because they said they were the cops. A hotel room enjoys constitutional protection from unreasonable searches, you were under no obligation to let them in. The rat that set you up was a stoolie and not a cop, and was not in a position to waive your rights to be free from unreasonable search and seizure for you. Of course, if he were wired they had probable cause and would have let themselves in if you had refused to open the door. But still better to make them kick the door in than open it for them, thus making their job easier.

(3) After making mistakes 1 and 2, mistake #3 was not keeping your trap shut. Keeping one's trap shut often thwarts LE's best efforts. They know the easiest way to hang someone is to hand them a rope, and it works most of the time. Most folks simply cannot keep their tongues from wagging, and this is usually their undoing.

(4) Not asking for a lawyer IMMEDIATELY upon realizing you were a criminal suspect. Of course a lawyer would have advised you to keep your trap shut, minimizing the amount of damage your unleashed tongue was doing to your case.

I hope you have better sense than to reply to this message, because every time your fingers touch the keyboard you bolster the case against you. You have the right to remain silent, no time like the present to start exercising that right.
