GV banned me a few years ago. I appealed it and was reinstated within a day or two. Some robocaller was spoofing my number so I guess it looked like I was spamming folks.

When I was banned they sent me some email, I think, with a link to appeal and I did and that was rejected. Never told me why I was banned other that a violation of TOS. Should have asked what specific violation or what TOS was violated in my appeal, but wasn't sharp enough at the time. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Also was in the middle of some drama, in a situation I don't wish to reveal, but let's just say I suspect some dude figured out my Monger I'd was fake and reported it to GV. Funny that they killed the GC access but kept the gmail alive.

I'd use one of those "business related" phone apps, except for the fact that paying for them is a PIA. Not going to tie my IRL credit card to anything I use in the monger world, so that would mean running the hassle of a prepaid card (s) and frequent refills. Already jumping through those hoops with the burner phone, SA and other sites. Was hoping there was a free "something" out there. Don't make or do many calls, but when I need to, I'd like to layer the app number on top of the burner number. Sigh.

Prolly screwed and got to start over with new burner phone / number, Identity, etc, sigh.

Happened to me -- it is not a problem -- you still have the contacts.

I exported the contacts to my local PC as a CSV file -- created a NEW gmail -- imported the contacts back into the new google gmail contacts.

Then use the NEW gmail account to create a new GV with new number.

At the end I deleted ALL the contacts in the old google I'd -- then deleted EVERY gmail including the trash and the archive to expunge them -- then deleted the gmail account.

Problem solved. The only problem you have is that you do not have any old txt to remind you you whop it is -- however I always put basic information in the contact name such as city code and source of contact (like for example Sarah LA USASG massage -- so Sarah is in Los Angeles, found her on USASG and she does massages).

P.S. I think it does not hurt to do this every few years anyway -- break the history!
