When they ask you what city you are working in, that will generally be a scam. I ask them, "What city do you work in? What city did you post your ad in? Can you send me a link to your ad?
They ignore your questions and pretend you didn't ask them, and keep repeating the same stupid shit over and over again.
Scammers will continue to respond to you as long as you keep responding to them. They will always reply and often keep contacting you for days after you tell them you think they are scammers and you want nothing to do with them. Their rule of thumb is to keep you engaged and responding to them, so they can keep trying to real you in and scam you. They will often send people to contact you trying to extort you for money. I just tell them to fuck off.
Advance payment is the biggest scam. Usually, they just take off with your money. I had a scammer who was convincing after I told "her" I would not make any advanced payment, have me meet "her" at a motel, and then want an advanced payment to go up to the room. This fucker, knew I wouldn't pay, and was just enjoying fucking with me.
I was running little experiments to understand how this all works. I would ask them to get on a video chat with me for 30 seconds so I can confirm their identity, and they obviously refuse with no good reason.
I tell them to remind me which ad I responded to, and that I am contacting girls trying to avoid scams. I ask them to send me a link to their ad. They refuse.
I ask them for verification picks, and they often send pics that are not the pics in their ads, and definitely not the person you are talking with. These scammers place so many ads, they can't keep track, and they place them all over the country on all the sites.
They are using technology, to spoof phone numbers, etc. One guy who called me spoofed the actual FBI office phone number. This is organized crime. Anyone who contacts you with a threat as a result of you calling escorts is almost always a scam.
