The bar at 26th and Wentworth just east of Elegant is Ethyl's Party (no visible signage), formerly called Tito's on the Edge.

Its a great old-time neighborhood place owned by the Tito brothers. I don't know about your experience, but I've had some fun times there.

You just have to go there a few times to become a regular. Johnny Tito can be quite the prankster.

Clientel includes some hot Italian and Asian girls at night.

That wasn't such a bad start. A bad start would be an experience that was so bad it put you off the hobby. Now the search begins. There are gems out there and eventualy you will find yours. Ethyl's Party Bar at 26th and Wentworth began in the early 1900s as the Colletta Funeral Home. In the mid 1970s they moved operations to 79th and Kedzie fearing the neighborhood was going. (Ironically, the 79th and Kedzie area went bad and 26th Street survived.)

It became a disco bar after the funeral home vacated and now is one of the few old neighborhood bars that Chicago once had in abundance. (I don't count fern bars as real bars!)

The signs of it being a former funeral home are obvious. The niches for flowers are still there and the viewing area for the casket with the deceased is now the small stage. The original stained glass windows are now gone, however.

Many gangster funerals took place here over the years. It is considered haunted and Richard Crowe's supernatural ghost (bus) tours stop here.

Elegent customers ought to utilize this uncut gem of classic Chicago.

This places advertises regularly in the Reatder, and I've been there many times for a legit massage. I think its a self service place but I've always gotten a very good massage for a reasonable price. Recently I was up for a good rub and recognized the therapist from another spa. Anyway, Euro, not so pretty but with a great rack around 30ish. I thought this might turnout differently than I expected, and I was right. A very nice massage with some teasing and on the flip I was able to play with the puppies while I got a HS. 1. Total and I've been back since. Very clean with shower facilities.

When you are there and got "lucky" assigned with a 20's year old Chinese girl, don't get too excited yet. She may answer the phone many many times, and walk out on you many many times in your 30min massage! She already got your money and she is working on her next customer on your time. I had a backache--probably from lifting way too much weight at the gym. I must have hallucinated and thought I was still in my 20's. I figured a massage was just what I needed to get back in shape.

As another poster has mentioned, probably Katrina. She speaks the best Engrish in the place, so she is on the phone or answering the door, while also trying to give a massage.

Many past reviews on this place that pointed to exactly what you experienced. They have not treated their customers nor their employees well. Stopped by the new place at 3181 S Archer. Walked in as it was opening for the day, cute asian with glasses took the money $40 for 1/2 hour with table shower. Went in and changed, met Linda, cute 25. 30, nice rack. Went with table shower first to see what kind of service might be available.
