Rants, Raves and Opinions AKA "The Octagon"

I keep hearing this phrase used in television shows, movies and other media outlets. Apparently it is a database set aside from the "internet" we all use, with the primary focus being to provide a forum and marketplace for individuals that either engage or procure illicit and perhaps socially unacceptable services and products.

It is no secret that I know just enough about computers to book a date with a lady on here and hopefully cover my tracks.

My question to the electronic wizards on here is does such a thing actually exist, or is it purely fictional, and do you have to be cyber savvy to use it, or could an idiot like me use it safely and how do I get started?

--PD.[/QUOTE]Yup. Real, and reportedly much larger than the internet. It's not only for illicit stuff. It's just the computers and servers that are connected to the internet, but not in the search engines or DNS servers, so you can't Google the sites.

From what I understand, many of the illicit sites require that you install a piece of software called TOR (the onion router) which apparently anonymizes your IP address.

What you have probably heard of is "the Silk Road" site which I understand is like Craig's list for anything you went- drugs, providers, weapons and even hit men, all paid for by bitcoin.

All of this I have just read about. Never been.

[/QUOTE]I haven't heard of the "dark web" being used in the scope of the hobby. Most of what I hear revolves around drug use, credit card and identity theft, and other creative types of fraud.

Since Web links get truncated here, all I can suggest is to Google "tor router" and read up on it.

BTW, if Al Gore "invented" this part of the net, he and Tipper would still be together. Just a thought.

Even before the internet. As far as other illegal activities having a special private "internet". I don't know if that is the case.

Many governments have special areas they post their special information to. But these can be hacked and are frequently. I theory I guess that there could be like a "mobnet". But this would cost a lot of money and would go against the key factor in illegal activity. It would immediately give an audit trail of who said what and when.

I guess the most important thing for us to know is all information that enters cyberspace could be tracked no matter where you put it. As with everything there are ways to hide or trick the computer who you are. The big question is how badly does someone want to get the information back. Even if you clear your history and delete you phone number file. A computer person can recreate it. I've even heard of case where drilling a hole in the drive doesn't stop them. Just like phone records all is out there. My guess is it is unlikely any date you make will cause you problems. Stay safe.

When I asked admin2 to investigate my handle and let anyone on the board know if I had broken any rules or posted as Sasha, Cupcake or Rebecca.

I never mentioned any names certainly not PTM. We simply wanted to put the rumors to rest and get on with business.

And not everyone agrees on how I run my business. However, whose business is it anyway. Mine, Sasha's, cupcakes and rebecca's. I value and respect the opinion of seniors, well respected members and my clients. But when it comes down to it, I'm always going to do what I think is best for the safety of my girls, my clients and most importantly my family.

I want to take this opportunity to explain the everyone out there that there is no human trafficking, pimping or even an agency involved here. I've been out of business for years. I am a personal assistant, schedule keeper, safety consultant, good friend and a financial coach. What's a financial coach. I text and call and I motivate certain girls to get up so they get to work and that they make money and a stay happy.

In the past I worked with drug addicts, bad mothers, crazy and almost always bipolar providers. After meeting Sasha black last year I realized I could do so much better and I do not have to work with drug addicts or girls with mental issues. She raised the bar for me and there is no way I'm going back to accepting anything less than the absolute best personalities.

I don't decide what hours or what days these ladies work on. This schedule is totally up to them. I do expect them to respect the schedule that they set. But that's out of courtesy to the clients and me.

PT man started out saying that his problem with me was that the girls are not allowed to post their own numbers. He demanded that we change our way of doing business as A2 pointed out. Then he came back to say he had no problem with me at all. Only to once again surface and say that his problem with me is something about me supposedly saying " I don't hire them for their brains" the fact is I don't hire them at all. They hire me. We were speaking about Rebecca and I said to PtMan was simply a reply to his making accusations that I'd cut and paste responses from Rebecca. He made the statement if it is Rebecca she must not be too smart. I replied" she doesn't need of a brain to do this job".

It's time that we move on from all the hating. We are after all a community of sorts. The idea that Steve from ee and I argue or compete with each other is also nonsense. The fact is Steve represents very young, very beautiful and extremely tight little spinners.

I concentrate on the ladies who are slightly more mature, still very beautiful, and sometimes are spinners too. But I choose to seek out the ladies who can carry on a mature conversation in the bed and out.

Steve and I are in two completely different markets. I have major respect for Steve and the operation he has developed.

I have respect for the independent providers, even those that have never posted their own ad or have anyway to honestly provide a reference for someone. I see them all as competitors and useful for the market. I wish them all the best of luck and offer any of them an opportunity to contact me for references or questions. I do ask that they do it very respectfully and that they understand I am willing to do this as a favor not because I have to.

If you do you are more than a scheduler you are DBA as an agency LLC If you don't then you are merely a "consultant". Again no demands made just an opinion expressed. If your ladies are free to see whomever they wish without you getting into it then ask them to put up their digits for us all to contact them without going through you. If you don't have an agency take down your website and the girls on it No need for that if you are just a "consultant" and scheduler. One way or the other makes no difference to me I believe there are those who think you do get a small stipend for doing what you do and verifying their safety which makes you in the traditional sense more than just a consultant. You have been in this business way too long back when Jen ran dates for you and a number of ladies in the last four or five years have moved on from you to go independent. That is Normal SOP in the agency / scheduler business. Like I said I have demanded nothing from you but saying an opinion of putting their numbers out or having them contact guys who want to see them via PM and doing what you do and vouching / vetting through their sisters and Seniors on here. I was just very intrigued, especially with all the current talk about the government being able to pretty much collect any data they want on you under the very vague Patriot Act. I know they supposedly don't act on it, but it seems a bit frightful that they could always "share it" with other agencies or investigators etc.

In addition, we are seeing way too many precedents of judges feeling they get to rule on the internet and can tell companies and users what they can and can't do. I thought the whole idea of the internet was to be outside the scope of the government--true freedom of speech, press, etc.

In fact watching the news right now, apparently some judge ruled that websites, when requested, must identify a username when told to do so (YELP).

In another story, they ruled Netflix will now have to pay an extra fee for bandwidth usage to all providers, for extra streaming. That of course will be past to us. This is BS. I pay my provider a premium to get 100 Mbps--I am already paying for the damn extra bandwidth, so why in the hell does some judge allow Verizon etc. To charge both parties?

Fucking judges. They should all be beheaded publicly when the revolution comes!

Yes, there is a darknet. Get TOR and you can get around in it. TOR anonymises your computer by encrypting everything that leaves your comp to a server outside the USA. You then surf the net, or the darknet, with no one being able to tell who you are because all identifiers are stripped from the data packets and replaced by the ID of the anon server. That server communicates with your comp by 258 bit encryption, which at this time is not crackable, as far as I know.

I have read, however, that the US govt. Has forced some of the companies who create encryption programs to place a back door in the programs for the government's use. So there's that.

As far as the surveillance of the people goes, the NSA, the FBI, and various other govt agencies have been spying on the world's population for many years. What happens is that they keep copies of all electronic communication. ALL of it. E-mail, everything you do online, tweets, facebook, along with all of your telephone conversations. In addition, they photograph every piece of snail mail that goes through the post office. Also, your location data via your cellphone. Then, if they want to investigate you, they just pull up all this data which they have been storing. They can then use this data to go to a judge and get warrants, etc.

The general public has no idea of this, that this level of spying is going on, nor do they care. Sheeple don't care about much.

Finally met Ally. After nearly a year of pm'ing back and forth, we finally got together in Memphis. She was everything I expected and more. Very photogenic and loves to pose. After taking over 200 photos, we finally got down to other business. Since I am to lazy to fuck, I let her put one of her best bbbjs on me. Yes, she swallows too. So, as a (semi) mature man of 52, I don't find myself prone to thinking about things like who's spying on me, are there aliens, where is Schroedinger's cat, really. I'm not prone to conspiracy theories or wondering if the Mayans were off by just 2 years. I kinda meander through life, trying to see the big picture and make sound decisions predicated on just the facts, ma'am. I try not to worry about things over which I have little to no influence (the vast majority of things in this world. LOL).

I do my part for security by rarely giving out my SSN, using unlikely passwords, shredding all confidential mail, etc. I avoid things like FaceBook. I pay cash whenever there's a doubt. But I'm not a doomsday prepper (although the TV show is pretty hilarious). And I don't wear a mustache and glasses combo unless it's Halloween.

However, I am also a relatively educated man and fairly aware of the what is possible given today's technology. And that is quite a bit. I have no doubt that the government is capable of tracking far, far more than we realize. I'm equally sure that I would be shocked at what is recorded about me. (And probably not too happy about it, either!

Where I've landed on this, for now at least, is to take reasonable precautions and realize that, should the government care to, it could uncover pretty much anything I've done in the last several decades. Do I like that? Hell, no. Is there anything I can do about it without seriously making a commitment to a completely different way of life? No, not really.

So, I guess I'm one of the sheeple. Maybe a somewhat aware sheeple. But a sheeple nonetheless. Not sure there's an easy answer short of moving to Montana and taking up residence on the mega volcano.

The servers and sites accessed by using software such as TOR are still hosted on the Internet. TOR is just a method of access, it is not a seperate *net or hidden protocol. TOR is also not 100% secure as a TOR exit node is not encrypted (it is only encrypted between TOR "routers") so anybody running an exit node can sniff your traffic.

I've accessed the Silk Road and it was nothing special. I could go downtown Cincinnati and get the same stuff for cheaper. There were no guns or women available, it was pretty much fake I'd's, drugs, and porn. There are probably other sites out there that offer the same stuff as the now defunct Silk Road, it just takes some digging to find them.
