Two comments on this. Several of my past GFs actually PREFERRED anal without lube. I find the ones that truly enjoy it, love it in every position, and without lube. An additional advantage to cowgirl, if you can get her to start like that, is she controls the action - she'll make sure she goes at a pace to her liking, she will stop when it gets uncomfortable, she will see the pleasure she's giving you.
