I also never pay before the job is finished once I'm in the room. I'm not saying that I haven't pissed off dozens of providers. These people we are talking about here work in the gray zone. WG's hold the legal system up as something to hide behind, because there is no recourse for you if they do you wrong without incriminating yourself or doing something stupid and illegal to get even. And business has people signing away their rights to even get a job, knowing full well their low compensation and the cost of living removes the ability of nearly all to be adequately represented in the legal system.
