Very good and sound advice
I think you did right by just handing over the money. For all of you that are thinking they would have pulled their gun I reply really? If you're not prepared to fire if you pull your gun you're a fool. If you are prepared and do fire that is going to bring a lot of problems for you. I'm not talking about the self defense right to carry bullshit I am talking about why you were there in the first place. Most don't want it on an official report that they were trying to purchase sex especially if you have a public job or married or just well known in your community. What if one or both of you fired your weapon and someone gets hit? It will cost you more than the money you handed over. This is probably what they were counting on and why they wanted to make sure it was the john they were robbing and not some random dude who had a valid reason for being there. I was ripped off once and just let it slide and came back at a later time observed and ended up slashing some tires but this was years ago. (I figured I cost them more then they cost me) Being older now I would just let the money go and warn others. But hey, each one handles it differently.
B.
Back when I hacked a cab I was robbed at knife point and I handed over every last penny it was only a couple hundo at best plus change, however I lived to talk about it. I knew that guys were getting popped and then stuffed in the trunk of their own cab and left because they fought. I also ran into a driver or two that got beat up bad because they resisted. Not worth it. It's money and it hurts to be ripped off, however at least one is still around to learn from the experience. Also self defense and concealed and all of the could ofs and would ofs only make sense on the forum as we type. Things happen so fast and with adrenaline at its peak the better way imo is to just pay up and go about ones business. Also yea the first thing LEO is going to ask when they are called is what were you doing there? BTW- I did not see this so excuse if I missed it, however custer is in evanston right? Thank you stosh. P.S. The tire slashing is classic. That high end girl I knew was being stalked by a private eye so one day she and a friend drove by the dudes house and dumped cans of paint right at his door front!
