It's the fact that all the hotels I have checked into over the past 20 yrs always ask for CC regardless of how you pay them. I guess it's in case you trash the room or steal all their towels or something.

With my new playmate. I need to do this all the time. I go to la Quinta. Depending on the desk clerk, either I leave $100 cash deposit. Or more usually. They just let me pay room in cash and that's it.

I do not have the opportunity to play as much as you guys in the big city! I also no longer have the means to play as much as I once did. So you will just have to get over your disappointment in my lack of participation in the hobby now just as I have.

I know for a fact there are several hotels in the area that only require your drivers license and 'cash' to procure a room. All the Red Roofs in the area, as well as the Motel 6 chain. No reservation or credit card needed. Of course this is based on room availability and all the other fine print typically seen. Sorry, just couldn't help myself. .

It's been years since I've been to Raleigh to check out the scene as I now live in Charleston. I'm just wondering if anyone has any recent info on Tom Cats on HWY 70. I used to go there quite a bit and would like to do so again while in town. Girls any good? Worth it? Still have the discrete parking at the back of the place?

I need some advice about a decent notel I can use for a couple of hours with open checkin times. Preferably on Capitol Blvd. I know most places want you to rent for the night, which is not an issue. I just found that check in times are a problem cause I need a room around lunchtime usually. Anyone with advice please let me know.

IIRC, most hotels have a check in of 3 pm but will let you come in at 1 if you give advanced notice. I've been able to get a check out time as late as 2. A while ago there was a person advertising a room for rent on backpage.

I would visit either Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn, both allow check-ins throughout the day and night. The Red Roof Inn in Cary will allow you to keep the room for 26 hours if your check-in is after 8:00 AM for the cost of one day's rate, (usually around $63.00).
